We love the Funchess family. Their four little girls are absolutely adorable. We have had the pleasure of babysitting them on several occasions, and we always come back with plenty of funny stories from their creative antics. We met up with them at Colonial Baptist Church for a brief family session with the fall colors. As always, we enjoyed our time with the family. Paul is a fellow seminarian at Shepherds Theological Seminary and Christie runs a blog called small steps, big picture where she documents daily life with four energetic girls. For this shoot, one of the lenses we used was a 50mm f/1.8 prime lens. It's a great general purpose lens, and on our crop-sensor cameras it works especially well for portraits. Enjoy the pix!
Ariel and Chase found Lempa Creative through Ariel's cousin Crystal and Crystal's husband, Matt, who is a fellow seminarian with me at Shepherds Theological Seminary. We had the opportunity to meet with Ariel and her mother in September 2012 to discuss Ariel and Chase's upcoming wedding in May 2014 at Barclay Villa. After Chase came back to the states from Afghanistan, we were able to meet up with the happy couple to discuss engagement photography ideas over coffee. Early this November we joined them at Oak View County Park in Raleigh, NC for their engagement pictures. We enjoyed working with both of them to capture some dynamic engagement imagery, and we're looking forward to their wedding! Enjoy the pix!
